My Work
Explore my artistic journey through various projects showcased here.

Aged
This painting shows an older man who might have some physical challenges, but he's really happy. I want people to see how his happiness shines through, even if he doesn't look perfect. He's a reminder that being content and positive inside is what truly matters. I hope this artwork helps people appreciate that real joy doesn't depend on how someone looks or what others might think. It's about finding happiness within, despite any obstacles, and celebrating the strength and happiness that everyone carries inside.

Apnea
Apnea is part of a series that explores the balance between chaos and control, presence and absence. The larger painting in this set centers on a figure walking a tightrope across the canvas. The colorful twisters that fill the background move in size represent the forces of life that constantly surround us. This piece captures the stability humans must have as we get through common moments of chaos. The figure on the tightrope symbolizes the struggle to maintain balance in the middle of tough situations, and how each step is a challenge but progress. The word Apnea refers to a temporary pause of breath and which this piece captures this suspended moment in time, where the breath is held, and the world is on the edge. The set of three works offers different perspectives on this theme. All together they have the viewer thinking about the imagery of stillness, movement, and keeping strong while balancing in the storms life brings.

Serenity in Green
Through my watercolor brushstrokes, I try to capture the simplicity within the ordinary—a handful of olives. Each stroke illustrates the olives’ hues of deep greens and purples. Added to the olives colors I also get a nostalgic feel. Growing up gardening as a kid, olives remind me of the beauty of nature I was raised with.

Uncle Lorenzo
Uncle Lorenzo depicts a weathered man seated on a road before the Teton Mountains. With blue eyes and a worn bandana, he embodies both struggle and resilience. The contrast between his fragile form and the vast mountains reflects endurance, solitude, and the quiet stories carried by those often overlooked.

City Echoes
This is a piece I made for my grandparents. They have various artworks around their house with a very similar style. My goal in making this piece was to incorporate that style of art they liked as well as putting my own unique touch.

Granny Smith
A still life of a light green apple

Unbound
This piece’s main focus was how personal expression shapes identity. The portrait of the man’s dreads breaking free from any force and words, thoughts, expressions written in between the dreads highlight how self-expression can change who we are. The graffiti captures the way we express ourselves if it was through our look, art, or words. It can completely shape our identity and the way others see us. Throughout the process of making this piece I reminded myself that the work wouldn’t be finished until it captured my true style.

JAH
This piece is about staying true to yourself despite outside pressure. The man surrounded by reaching hands remains calm and unbothered. The loud background shows the noise and influence of the world. His expression captures the strength of keeping your identity, even with the pressure of the world trying to change you.

Station Cremation
This piece depicts a gas station engulfed in flames in front of the darkness of a grassy field. This piece captures humanity’s sort-of connection to destruction. The burning gas station represents our dependence on types of short-lived systems. The empty background shows the absence of people and order put fourth to chaos like this.

Done Deal
This piece shows an African American man standing with layers of underwear falling down. At his feet is the quote “Well done is better than well said” by Benjamin Franklin. The work pushes the viewer to see action as stronger than appearance or words.

Aetheris
A floating city, home to many, commonly known as Aetheris. Where boundaries of the physical world are left behind Aetheris is a city above earth. This idea of no boundaries made me try to capture the freedom, creativity, and connection to grow. A beautiful sunrise is captured while the city still sleeps.

Voidwalker
Voidwalker shows a lone figure tightroping, reduced to a shadow against an abstract background. The simplicity highlights balance and tension, capturing the quiet act of moving forward through uncertainty.

Eternal
I depicted an elderly woman enjoying a classic dish of mac n cheese while dressed in a bright, colorful outfit. It's a celebration of her choice to express herself freely. This scene invites us to appreciate self-expression at any age. Her spirited nature and the happiness found in embracing personal uniqueness. Through this artwork, I aim to show the beauty of finding joy in simple moments and enjoying individuality, reminding us that we are all here on earth experiencing something special.

Grace
This portrait shows an older woman with grey hair and blue eyes. Her black top and posture show strength and quiet confidence and celebrate the beauty of age and presence.
